200 HR TEACHER TRAINING CURRICULUM
TECHNIQUES
100 HOURS
Training and practice will include asana (alignment, modifications, benefits of each posture, props), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditations, and sequencing.
ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
20 HOURS
We will introduce basic yoga anatomy and will include an overview of skeleton, skeletal muscles, major joints in the body, the nervous system, circulation, and respiration. We will also talk about the subtle body and address potential and common yoga injuries.
TEACHING METHODOLOGY
35 HOURS
We will build on techniques, training, and practice and incorporate teacher presence, cueing, sequencing, teacher/student boundaries, special populations, demonstrations, assisting, and the business of teaching.
PHILOSOPHY
20 HOURS
We will cover the 8 limbs of yoga, yoga sutras, ayurveda (yoga lifestyle), and teacher ethics.
PRACTICE TEACH
10 HOURS
Trainees will teach classes as lead instructor, which will include giving and receiving constructive feedback on each trainee's presence, cueing, sequencing, and assisting.

HEATHER OSBORNE
Heather Osborne is an ERYT-500 Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher with over 1000 hours of yoga education behind her. Her trainings and teaching experience incorporate aspects of the Ashtanga, Hatha, Baptiste, Bikram, and Yin Yoga practices.
Her passion is studying yoga alignment, functional anatomy, yoga philosophy and the many layers of the practice so that she can lead an informative and well rounded practice.
Heather has co-lead several trainings and workshops and has continued her yoga studies with teachers like David Swenson, Rodney Yee, Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, David Garrigues, and Kino MacGregor.
Heather is excited to help students have a transformative experience in their journey from yoga student to yoga teacher.
