A Message From Phil
I have been waiting to update you on the status of Yoga Factory as we all navigate these unprecedented and challenging times. Covid-19 has required all of us to reevaluate so many things.
First and foremost, my heart goes out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly
or indirectly. I have been truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers and all essential workers, including many YF students, around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need. Second, YF has always been focused on the health and safety of our teachers and our students. Our temporary move to online classes is something we are grateful to have been able to do. It has been a creative way to keep our community connected.
Throughout this I have also been monitoring the present and future realities of our classes; studying all the information provided by health experts as we all learn together about the implications of Covid. In our studio the realities of close contact, deep breathing, high temperatures, shared spaces,
and social distancing are, of course, all part of this.
I have also been in touch with with three doctors that regularly attend our studios and spoken to them about the specific changes they would like to see when we return. I am currently developing a set of new protocols that will bring another level of cleanliness and safety to our spaces.
For now, we are on hold while Governor Hogan decides when to start Phase 2 of the Reopening process. We are able to have outdoor classes of 9 students or less, and I will be sending out information regarding these options soon.
Please email us directly with the questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you all together real soon and recreating the community we all know and love.
Thanks so much,
