Maggie's yoga journey began in 2007 when her Tae Kwon Do association teamed up with YogaFit to do a yoga certification training. She fell in love with slow-flow vinyasa and began to lead free classes as part of her Kharma hours. Then, in 2009, Maggie married Sidney, enlisted in the Army, and soon found that she didn't have a lot of time to fit yoga into her life, but her body desperately needed it!
Throughout her military career, Maggie is sought after for teaching yoga to Soldiers. She has led several yin yoga classes to Soldiers with injuries, vinyasa for pregnant and postpartum moms, and power yoga to newly inducted noncommissioned officers.
In 2015, Maggie and Sidney moved to Pasadena, and that's when Sidney came across a groupon for Hot Yoga with Yoga Factory. He was immediately hooked. Maggie took a while to come around to Bikram, but now she loves it! She attended the 2018 Vinyasa Teacher Certification and has taught Yin at YF ever since. She really loves how yin helps to balance all the yang that we put our bodies through everyday!
"I love it when my students leave my class saying, 'you knew exactly what my body needed!'"
